I am Munu Lama, a nurse by profession. I really can't imagine what life could have been like for me if I had never left the place where I was born. My father left us at a really young age, my mom was battling with depression, and having to look after 3 kids all by herself was really tough for her. Life was difficult for us as well as for her as she was only 24 back then. I had no dreams or hope for a bright future, I was a 6-year-old who was also confused with the whole situation. So, since childhood, I had learned that life will not always be a bed of roses.

But fortunately, my aunt knew Nicole Wick Thakuri, the founder of a home called NAG whom I also consider my Godmother. She has played a very significant role in shaping my life and making me the person I am today. I got the opportunity to be raised in an environment where I had a family who all shared the same pain and difficult past but now we all had a place to call our own. We were always taught to be good humans rather than successful ones and I guess that's what I have become today.

Kindness and positivity are what I believe in and that is also the reason I am a part of the NAG Alumni family. We want to give back the same kindness and contribution to the needy ones who are in dire need as we were once.
